WhatsApp credential rejected

Meta rejected the System User access token used to call the Cloud API. The integration is currently broken until the token is rotated.

Common causes

  • The System User token was revoked or expired.
  • The Business Manager role attached to the token was removed.
  • The token was rotated outside the dashboard and the new value was not stored.

What to do

Generate a new System User token in Meta Business Settings and paste it into the dashboard’s WhatsApp settings. Verify the token has both whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp_business_messaging scopes.
