WhatsApp template submission failed

Meta rejected the create-template Graph API call before review even started — the payload itself was invalid.

Common causes

  • Duplicate template name (Meta requires per-language uniqueness).
  • Header/body component combination not allowed.
  • Locale code not supported by the WABA.

Review Meta’s response in the audit log; rename the template, fix the components, or enable the locale and resubmit.
