Gemini API key rejected

Google rejected the GEMINI_API_KEY — invalid, revoked, or restricted to a different project.

Common causes

  • Key rotated in AI Studio without updating PlatformSystemSettings.
  • Project billing not enabled.
  • Key restricted to a different referer/IP.

What to do

Update GEMINI_API_KEY via super-admin → System Settings. The key lives in the DB, not env vars.
